Default clutch lever feels sloppy ??

i have a 2006 roadking FLHI 3000 miles bike runs nice screaming eagle mufflers stage 1 air filter but the problem is the clutch works ok no problems there but the lever feel is not there like others there is play at the lever and it seems to not fully retract after you release it but when i took out the slack by lenghtening the turnbuckle down on the frame it took the slack out but the lever got a little stiffer and the engagement was way out from the bar so i went back and shortened it back to where it was originally and it grips at least a inch from the grip but the slack is there again ??

If it is adjusted correctly to the book it will disengage quicker and release farther away from the grip. Having slop in the handle will not seperate the plates in the clutch as much causing the bike to creap or shifting will be stiffer.
