Default White/gray substance on dipstick????

I just checked the tranny fluid today and when I pulled out the dipstick there was a glob of white/gray grease like substance on the top of the dipstick. Does anyone have any idea what this is from? The bike sat for about 2 years and I just got it up and running, so that may have something to do with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Phil

its water from condensation.
from sitting. this is common, and not to worry.
wipe it off the stick, change the oil,
run some miles on it, keep an eye on it. it will go away.
its just from sitting, the cases going thru the seasons. this is why i want a heated garage
then you wont get that.
now, my ride sits cold, i go out to work on it, i run the torpedo heater, and all the metal condesates

not to worry

Thanks for the info. My mind is a little more at ease now that I know it's nothing major. I will be changing the fluids tomorrow and checking the vent as well.

Considering I live in England and I ride every day, I'd say I ride more than enough! I just wish I had some fellow americans that weren't the fair weather types. The poor schmuck that sold the bike let it sit and rot for 2 1/2 years. I am trying my hardest to bring it back to life.

Well, there ya go. It's been sitting for 2.5 years without being ridden. So now you have to make it up. You'll need to ride every night along with every day. Sigh, such a curse.
