premature clutch cable break????
 \\;
Question-I just had my clutch cable break a couple of days ago, while on the way home. This really ticked me off, because I just had it replaced last year (it was around September or October, and it was lubed really good, up to this point the bike ran just fine.) Is it typical for a clutch cable to go bad in such a short time? Could it have been a bad part? \\; I thought clutch cables were supposed to last quite awhile, as long as you maintained them. Your input is appreciated here. For the record, my bike is a 1986 Heritage Softail.

My 02 Dyna clutch cable was showing no signs of wear at 38k when I traded the bike. \\;\\\\\\; My 06 EG clutch cable is good at 15k. \\;\\\\\\; I think you got a bad one.

+1 you got a bad part or it was installed incorrectly.
