Default Primary Leak?

I recently had a 25K service done on my RKC at my local H-D. I run harley synthetic. When I got it home I noticed a drop of oil under the bike and it still intermittently leaves a drop or two of oil under the bike. I asked the HD service guys about it and they said it is probably the primary seal not sealing well with the new oil change....anybody else ever have this problem?

What difference would an oil change make?
The reason I use red ATF in my primary is so I know what's leaking.

Maybe they overfilled the trans and it's coming out of the breather!

It appears to be coming from vicinity of where&nbsp\\;the inner primary seal is....I suspect it is the culprit....it is just weird that somedays it leaves a couple drops on the garage floor and other days none. I guess I am unsure of where the breather is

Go back to the last thing done. They did something. Check the trans oil.

Just because they changed the oil will not cause a leak to develop.&nbsp\\; If towards the front of the bike, might be oil that was lost during changing the fileter and is caught in the nooks and crannys by the motor mount.&nbsp\\; Mine will drip oil for two-three days if I am not meticulous about catching all the oil and cleaning it up.&nbsp\\; If towards the rear, then double check the primary, trans and engine drain plugs to ensure they are snug.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; If all is good, then it is possible that the inner primary seal is starting to seep.&nbsp\\; But looks for the obvious first.

It is defenitelly not residual oil...it is starting to be more than a few drops after riding. I looked at all of the plugs...no signs of leaking there, transmission breather is dry.....it looks like it is leaking&nbsp\\; vicinity of where the&nbsp\\; primary inner seal is located. I was considering putting UV additive in primary to verify that is where it is coming from. Is there anything negative about putting some in the primary?

I had mistery leak coming from the back of my primary.&nbsp\\; Same thing sometime it would leave a big drop sometimes small.&nbsp\\; I pulled the primary off and sure enuff it was coming from the shaft seal.&nbsp\\; I never was able to figure out what caused it and I just finished replacing it.&nbsp\\; I'll be taking it out for a test run this afternoon.&nbsp\\; I hope the new seal fixed the problem.

Running your drive belt tight will cause the seal to leak. Adjust the belt according to specs and your seals will last longre. Some bike need to have rider weight on yhem so you may need a friend to help.
