I meant they use red line mtl for the primary. What is the weight on it because I was looking at it at their site and it said like 75-90 or something. Isnt that too heavy for the primary? Also what would you prefer for the tranny Mobile 1 or red line shock proof? Thanks guys.

Either of your choices for the trans work well. I use the redline and like it. The primary is usually 10/30 or 10/40. Best results without synthetic in there.

But isn't the RedLine MTL a synthetic lube too? Should/would it be a good choice for the primary? And would the clutch have to be adjusted? I'm still unclear as to which lube for the primary IF in the long run H-D drops of old sytle primary lube. Thanks.

As I have told you many times in your PM's to me and also on the board when you direct this same question to me about the primary oil. Use of a NON SYNTHETIC OIL will give you a better feel on the clutch. Your choice entirely here as to what weight you wish to use.You DO NOT need a heavy weight in there, and as stated above 10/30 or 10/40 will work fine NON SYNTHETIC OIL or HD primary oil ( the old type I use). I even stated that above here in this topic...
If you choose not to use what I have suggested, then check with HD about the choices they offer for the applications you need.
In the transmission, SYNTHETIC OIL IS FINE THERE, I prefer REDLINE, but the Mobil 1 works well also as long as it is a GEAR OIL. Now as far as which one you can use...I've also suggested for you which one to use and still you keep asking me and posting it on the board directing it to me as you did above. You asked me to post another poll for you because the results weren't clear for you, I can understand what the results show without any problems.
Asuming you got the PM's that I replied to from you in reference to this question, there is little or no choice to make other than brand that you care to use. You can check out the manufacturers web site and get all the information you need to make your choice. If you have further questions about the product, you can use the "contact us" section on their site and ask them anything that is not clear to you about their product.
I really hope that I have answered this question for the last time for you here. There's no more that I can do for you other than putting the oil in your bike.
Thanks
