Might have stripped the tranny plug????

when tightening the tranny plug after doing my service, i think i may have stripped it....it didnt get as tight as i thought it would have and then bam, it kept turning, and metal shavings were noticable..yes i know, a rookiemistake...well now i know, but what i do need to know is if they make an oversized plug kit or if they make something to rethread the pan?? thanks for your help....

Helicoil or oversized drain plug from an autoparts store will work. Or you could put a permanent oversized bolt in there and use a fluid extractor (pela or motive brand) to suck the trans oil out. Since you don't have to change the trans that much that would be an easy way to go as well.

Try http://www.timesert.com/these are designed for oil plug repair. They are like heli coil but are solid inserts, the kits cost about $100.00.
