My transmision locked into high gear 2 years ago. Instead of having a good mechanic take a year to look at it. I found a guy trying to start a motorcycle repairshop.2 years later i finally get it out of his shop. To make a long story short I've had it back to him 4 times each time a new problem. The latest problem is it wont go into 1st gear it makes a grinding and stays in neutrol. Now nobody else want to take over his screw ups. Does anybody know if there is a simple adjustment to help it go into gear? Any info is greatly appreciated

 

Sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging, with that said and with the history of the original repairs, if a clutch/cable adjustment doesn't help, you might need to tear it back down again and have it fixed correctly. Good luck with it and hope you can find someone to work on it that knows what they're doing this time.

 

Ditto, I'd bring it to a HD mech and let him fix it correctly now. Tim
