Clutch slippage

Clutch slippage
Just got my ('06 FLHX)motor pumped up to 100/100 and now have a stock clutchthat won't handle the xtra power. I've researched the variable pressure setups but was wondering if HD had a heavy spring that would be just as effective or would I be better off biting the bullet and installing aheavy duty Barnett (or equiv.)unit. I surecan't dyno the machine the way it is now and need a custom map. Any help is appreciated, Thanks

RE: Clutch slippage
I just had a 95" build done on my '06 Dyna, heads, cams, fatcat, etc and the builder put in a real stout heavy duty clutch spring and I have had no slippage at all. It is a handful to pull in the clutch, he said there is one in between stock and this one he can put in.

RE: Clutch slippage
If you decide to go the VPC route rather than a heavier clutch spring, send me an email as I have a couple of VPC clutches for sale. I bought ones to put on our bikes and bought a couple of extras at the time, to sell. A heavier clutch spring would probably work by its self but also will create a heavier pull at the clutch lever. sdavis49 at agristar.net
