Default 2004 XL Clutch problem

Hello, I just installed a braided clutch cable on my 2004 XL883. I needed to get a longer cable because I installed the 883/1200 Custom riser/speedo. Now I can't get my clutch to work. I made all of the adjustment described in my repair manual to no avail. The ramp moves but does not disengage the clutch. I'm stumped, any suggestions? Thanks.

If the ramp is moving properly and everything else is connected properly, try this proceedure.. https://www.hdforums.com/m_70839/tm.htm

OK, I've adjusted the clutch as described with the same results. I even reinstalled the original clutch cable and still have the problem. The ramp moves, but the clutch does not disengage. I'm really stumped, any ideas?
