Braided Clutch Cable

Braided Clutch Cable
I am curious if any one has run into the problem I have and what you did to correct.
I have an '05 Low Rider and I replaced the black clutch cable with the braided one. While changing some oil on the bike today, I noticed that the headlight visor that is on the Dynas has rubbed right a spot through the plastic covering on the braided cable exposing the metal weave. It is starting to do this on the throttle cables as well.
Has anyone seen this and do you have suggestions? I called the stealer today to ask if it could fall under warranty issue since I installed as directed. I am supposed to find out tomorrow what the answer is to that question, although I ain't holding my breath.
