Since the search function isn't working, I need to ask where I can get a replacement seal. My shift rod lever going to the shift shaft on the transmissionisstripped and as I was investigating I found that my seal needs replaced as well. I looked all over theCometic website, but all I can find is P/N C9259 which is for '80 - '99. Mine is an '03 Dyna. Anybody know the part number for the replacement for my bike?

I hope my shift shaft isn't stripped as well.

I think it is C9484 but not sure. Go to cometic's site and type that number in.

 

That one says it's an O-ring for 84 - 99 bikes.

Maybe I'll have to go with theHD part. I hear the new ones are double lipped like Cometic. Though, I know I saw on some other forums that they used Cometic on newer bikes, but no part number.

I'm really feeling like a rookie here. I also want to change the transmission mainshaft seal while I'm in there, but I can 't find a part number for that either. I've looked through the entire Cometic catalog, but it seems like between 99 and 06 they don't have those two seals. Unless the ones up to 99 really do work for my bike and they have it mislabeled?
