Default My rearend wobbles.????

I'm looking for information on what I can do to give my 07 Ultra a more stable feel in corners. The tires and etc. are OK. Bike only has 3800 miles so far. The bike just don't feel right when cornering at times. Are there any products out there for this? Thanks.

My RK did the same thing when it came back from HD service. They didn't put any air back in the rear shock. Put air in and it was OK. Just a thought.

If you have spoked wheels, better check the spokes for looseness. They can and will loosen up.

Follow the link to TrueTrack and read their blurb, even if you don't want to buy! The problem is nothing to do with your bike being new, asit can affect any rubber-mount Harley.

Your engine is rubber mounted behind the gearbox, concentric with the swingarm pivot, to isolate vibration from you and the rest of the bike. There is another rubber mount at the front of the engine, and nearby there is a steel link that stops the front of the engine shifting sideways. There is a furtherlink doing the same job between the cylinder heads. So the motor is mounted at three points, but has only two of these stabilizer links.

When riding round a bend, thelateral forces on the rear wheel push that rear mount sideways, which is where the movement comes from. The solution is to add that 'missing' link, as TrueTrack call it.

Buell patented the third link several years ago and it is fitted to my Firebolt, also the latest Sportsters. It is a mystery that Harley don't fit them to all models with rubber mount engines!

There are at least four companies in the US that make similar stabilizers that I know of. I am just fitting a Trackula kit from TrueTrack to my bike and have another kit for my wife's Dyna.

I have no association with TrueTrack, they just providea goodexplanation for buying a rear stabilizer, also make a kit to fit my early Evo.

I can only guess that the reason is money. The third link will cost HD another $20, 30, ??? on the assembly line, which adds up. The rear wobble isn't a safety issue, IMO, and HD probably feels most owners won't notice or care.

I haven't seen the Trackula kit until now and don't know how it works as a complete kit, but for me the main issues with the True-Track have been (1) its use of long bolts to secure the engine mount to the case and (2) clearance. For the first, it seems to me that these long bolts in time will stress the threads in the case after miles of constant lateral force. The Ride Str8 produces the same net effect to secure rear engine movement but mounts differently, eliminating both of these two drawbacks. The only negatives to the Ride Str8 are cost, about $50 more than TT, and difficulty of installation, which requires partial removal of some exhaust components. It isn't a major issue, and almost anyone can install one, but it does take longer.

Yes no doubt they do NOT want to add another $20-30 in cost for a part you don't see and is not chrome.
