Hard clutch-89 FXR
Hi there. A few yrs back 6-7, Had the top end done, they installed a heavey duty clutch (plates and springs) Got the bike and it takes 2 men and a boy to operate.I got used to it,(su**s in traffic)Made some adjustments and it got a little better, tried the leverage devices they sell and no change. New cable, No change.
This is an 89+1/2- everything on the bike falls to 89, the clutch falls under 1990.
(The tork is such that I broke 3 clutch hubs. So I went to the after market one with no problems.)
So, one guy told me that even though the pushrod spec'd is correct it may be a smidgeon too long.
I'm thinking of selling it now, and this could be a big issue with a buyer.
Any ideas or pointers would be great. Thanx.
