Default Ultima Six Speed

The gears that go into the Ultima as well as Jims, Revtech and BAKER come from the same factor in Korea. Baker makes their own cases here in the US but the gears come from Korea. Here again, reality and perception are two different things. Based on my research and conversations with those in the know, Baker is fine product but you pay a price for the name. Ultima is a fine product and at a reasonable cost. Baker is a fine product as well but is it worth two or three hundred percent more when the gears that come for the same factor in Korea? In time Baker will have to consider explaining why they charge the prices they do or lose customers if they cannot justify their outrageous pricing.

I installed a Ultima six speed gear set. Having problems with the neutral light which comes on in 4th gear and stays on. What is the fix you mentioned in your response.

Thanks,

I bought a 2000 titan with a faulty neutral switch. I bought a new one at the dealer but it works backwards. Do I need to replace with a switch that is normally closed vs. open? Where can I find that?

Default 6 speed kit #98-902 in my 1999 ultra classic TC88

I am i the process of putting the ultima 6 speed kit #98-902 in my 1999 ultra classic TC88 and my mechanic is having trouble with the clutch function.
He say's that the shaft nuts on the trap door are restricting the function in the clutch release cover. everything I have read so far
states that it should work with oem cover.I'm starting to think he might not be the right man for the job.
I may go get my bike and try it my self. But Before I do I wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter!Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!

compare the stock shift drum with the ultima's. note the location where the neutral switch, screwed into the transmission top cover, 'sees' the specific path on the drum for it. Bottom line 33904-00 was for certain years of certain bikes and 33902-98 for other bikes for other years. There is no hard cutoff year for one part number or the other, it depends on the model as Harley rolled out transmission modifications differently for a given year range and model. 33904-00 is normally closed and 33902-98 is normally open. So.....compare the drums and the path that the neutral switch is looking at is a groove except for a spot that is not vs flat all around except a spot that has an inverted triangle machined out of the drum. Ronnie's Harley has a web page that is golden in finding your stock part. He obviously sells these parts too. I have a 2000 Electra Glide with the inverted triangle situation on the shift drum so needed to buy the 33904-00 neutral switch to make it work right.

ok so I’ve installed tranny and oil dipstick spacer on my 06 Electra glide. With the spacer being approx. 1” how do I now know the correct oil level when checking oil
