Help.

I need to remove the starter, I took all bolts out and the starter it is not coming off from inside of the primary case. Do I need to open the primary case and disconnet from inside or there is a way to disconnect from the outside. It looks like the shat goes inside the primary and it is not releasing.

Yes, the outer primary cover must come off. There is a small metric bolt holding the jackshaft to the end of the starter in there. I don't remember the exact size, but it is very small.

Once the jackshaf is removed, the starter can be removed.
