Default 2004 Road King Police Interceptor?

Ok, so I am the proud new owner of a 2004 FLHPI Road King. It only had 1800 miles on it when I picked it up last Monday. The ex- dealer who had it got rid of all the police stuff and tins and installed a Burgundy Blazin Eagle Harley tin kit (58 of 100) along with screamin eagle pipes and about $4k worth of other chrome. It is one sweet ride.
So my ? is what if any is different about the motor? I have heard it might have gear driven cams rather than chain etc. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks Keith

I know for sure there's nothing different about the motor between Police and regular bikes.

There are some wiring changes, they come with Heritage bars (a nice improvement), some different trim pieces and there are some minor wiring differences. It looks like most of the differences have been "civilianized" on your bike.

Enjoy it, those are a great value. I loved mine ('03 FLHPI).

It is a production motor, nothing fancy or "Hi-Po" about it....

The only difference really noticeable is the wiring harness and charging system...

Heavy duty stator/rotor and a few extra wires for siren and lighting system.....

MY 07 is when the factory produced a "Special Duty Motor" (103")with a unique ECM cal and 9.3 -1 compression .....

Yep, ain't nothing special about the motors in the 88" bikes. We have been using Harleys at work since 2000. About the only thing one will "intercept" would be a clapped out Hyundai.
