It's like an oil forum is needed here. You know, to keep oil questions in one place for easy reference.

I looked at the bottle and it is not even a full synthetic, it is a synthetic-blend. I am coming from a 2012 Fat Boy and a 2011 Heritage Classic, where I only used Amsoil Primary oil in the primary.

Anyone know why Harley made the change?
AMSOIL has a 75w140 Severe Gear Oil and a Primary Case Oil for the wet clutch. Research - www.MyOil.Club

I agree.
Wasn't there an oil thread that was closed?

Yet, it still pops up in many places

Why is simple better lube for the Job. F+ was ok is is a 50w. 80W145 is more along the line of a 20/50 engine oil. It protects better at both cold and extreme temperatures. Keep in mind Engine oil and Lubes like 80W145 are measured in different ways. When same method is used the 80W145 and 20/50 come out pretty much the same.
Howdy,
Where can I find that information?

I have been using 80W/140 for several years. I think it workds great. A old timer , both age and years of riding still says the 20w/50 for all 3 holes.
I'd like some facts?

Perhaps an Oil Thread would be appropriate 🤔

if you have copper in the system, be very careful of the formulation. it will take out the stator if there is a breach in the insulation. the culprit is the sulfur additive used for EP.
