Primary 64oz!?
Shifting was clunky so drained the Amsoil 20w50 and added Amsoil primary fluid. Took two full qts to get it to as shown in manual! Tried shifting, first gear clunky first time then all good, even back to first. No issue finding N. But 64oz? WTF!? I’ve been changing primary fluids for years. Don’t ever recall two freakin qts!!

He should specify year and bike. I can't imagine a harley taking 64 ounces, but I don't know all the models. I also caution, that I have 3 twin cams, and they all hold different amounts. Look in the manual, not the guy who says I been .....

If you really want to know for sure, drain the fluid in the primary, measure it, and refill it back up to the line in Dan's diagram. Then you'll know for sure. The fluid is still plenty fresh/new enough to reuse, as well as the derby cover gasket. At least, that's what I'd do to answer these burning questions...........

More of the same Me, Me, Me, Me, I, I, I, I
You only post here to disrupt the conversation and to talk about yourself and your imaginary motorcycles.
It doesn`t matter what year the bike is when it comes to the primary lube level, all the same on wet primaries (mid `85 and later).
You must not have seen that when you tried to look up the answer in google so you could come here and make another babbling post.
The manual is often incorrect when it comes to the amount of lube needed (my `89 service manual says fill up to the derby cover opening with bike straight up), that must not be in google either.
