Have a 103inch FXDXT and would like better shifting. What is the effect of something like the Zippers backcut or should I go with an S&S or Baker or Jim's gearset? I hardley see 5th in my current trans; mostly mountain road two up riding....so the 6th gear isn't too appealing but better shifting is..also what about a 2.94 or 3.24 1st gear ratio?????

keep your gear ratios as are, i would go with the baker 6 speed overdrive for your style riding. shifts great and is quiet while riding. there really isn't a way to get rid of the difinitive harley "clunk" with any trans though.
