Nothing wrong with the stock tensioner.. Early ones were supposedly ratcheting too tight but I suspect that some of it was misdiagnosis and the other was early TCs where the bike was run hard when cold.

I put many thousands of miles on my 07 FLHTC. I also put one on my 14 Tri Glide. Will probably add one to my 21

. No, the 07 is gone to a friend and I believe it has about maybe 70000 . The 14 triglide only got about 15000 , I traded it in .
On my current 21 Tri Glide it seems that the stock one is doing ok but I only have 8000 miles on it. I probably will open it up this winter. Just to check but I may just go ahead and order a Hayden to Put in it.

Well, I have 124000 on the stock tensioner 07 FLHTC. 20000 as a 96, 60000 as a stage 4 103 and 44000 as a 107, Still running the original. Been through a number of comps, 2 clutches, primary chain at about 100000.

Buddy has a 2012 pretty much stock road glide. We replaced the primary chain, tensioner and comp at 120000.

if the hayden craps out I will try the newer stock tensioner. I've heard good and bad about hayden but I think maybe it's due to installation error. (the bad)

I never even got my Hayden installed into my 14 SGS before I sent it back! The machining on it was crap. The shoe was sticking in the guides so bad it would stick down and not even pop up with the spring tension! If I turned that in for a project in my machining classes, I'd have gotten an "F" for sure. Some guys swear buy them. I liked the theory behind it, but I'll never put one in my bikes.......... YMMV.

I'm running the newer "C" version of the OEM tensioner with no issues for 120,000 miles.

Hey @theheder ...... got any update on this setup? Curious about Baker comp mostly, but interested about your opinion of the AAA as well......

When I had my 07 I had the ESP for 75000 miles , w went through 2 stock compensators and 1 screaming Eagle one and at around 60000 miles I decided to put a Baker Comp and a Hayden . At about 90000 miles I swapped the engine for a 103HO out of a 14 Street Glide, new Barnett clutch . The bike is still in that mode and still running great with the new owner. He has about 130000 miles on it now.
This is what I meant when I said it has about 70000 miles on it (the Hayden tensioner).
