Default Primary noise mystery

Hey everyone I know there is tons of threads about "primary noises" and compensators, etc.
I have what I think is an odd scenario that I hope can really help someone.

Long story short I bought an 09 Electra Glide with a lot of engine work done, but high miles on the bottom end/trans. I was told trans had been gone through.
What I originally thought to be a compensator was part of the problem. I swapped an eliminator in place of the SE comp that had around 30-50k on it. Still had a noise.

After hours and hours of reading I was convinced it had to be an inner primary bearing/clutch hub bearing. The noise only happened when hot. Similar to the top end being dry but it was low, in the primary/clutch area. It ONLY presented itself when hot, regardless of clutch engaged or disengaged, in gear or neutral.
I disassembled everything, clutch hub bearing sounded like dookie. As did the inner primary, but only when I had everything stripped down and spun the shaft with just the inner primary cover on.
I found the inner primary bearing race cracked in 3 spots. My noise is now 95% corrected. My concerning noise is now gone!
- sorry for the length I hope this helps someone one day.
