Default Clutch Clearance

I took my primary cover off to change the oil for the first time myself and was wondering if the clutch plates should be centered exactly with the opening or not.Mine are facing down a bit and the tip of my funnel will not even fit between the primary case and the clutch and you have to pour oil in really slow so you don't slop it all over.I had the bike on the jiffy stand with a two by four under it to level it.Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

The clutch assembly can not be moved. That is the way it was installed. Get a service manual to understand what I'm talking about.

If it looks like this all is OK

and the bit with the funnel is normal also.

A funnel made of alum foil works great but still takes time to pour slow. On my 04 I just poor it in threw the inspection cover but I doubt yours has one.

Thanks for your help guys, that's a better idea to put the oil in through the inspection cover.I didn't have a new gasket for that so I didn't bother.I still have to attempt my first primary chain adjustment too.
