Default Transmission oil to engine

Hi

i have replace in mine 2014 FXDB oil pan (was demaged), i filled Up engine and trans oils and all was fine, after short ride i noticed weird sound on 4-5gear, i checked trans oil and it was empty... i checked engine oil and it was totally overfilled, i drained oils and filled Up again....same story after short ride :/

any idea?

is there any seal which i have to check?

In my case it was a slightly damaged engine main shaft seal. The vacuum from the motor would pull the oil through the primary and then into the engine.

i understand your issue is trans only
trying to clarify and rule out the crank seal post

fwiw
the pan is engine oil
the tranny is above it and has no pan per se
the tranny does drain through a non communicating hole in the oil pan
they do not share when working correctly

Any damage other than oil pan?

id remove pan and revisit my installation

noo bike is working well transmission, engine, and Clutch, i mean „well” weird whistle on 4-5gear but is normal if No oil in trany... but how to explain that oil is going from transmission to engine? It is like leaking from transmission to oil pan, maybe i have bigger demage of lower part of gearbox

So everything is like new, imo. Probably there is some leak between pan and gearbox on the drain line, what do you think? Should i add any additional sealant?

Did you follow the tightening sequence for the oil pan fasteners as outlined in the service manual? Also, inspect the transmission vent. A plugged vent could cause positive pressure in transmission, and possibly force fluid past the mating surface circled in your photo.

Don't really know for sure but on baggers, the oil drain hole for the tranny is in a different location than a Twin cam. On a Dyna, not sure. If they are the same, I'd expect that you damaged the pan gasket getting it on. Anyway you need to pull the pan back off and check the gasket fit.

Add,

You may want to check to make sure that the gasket surface on the passage is not damaged and it should be even with the pan gasket surface.
