Default Using a M8 comp on a TC? Might be possible.

Here are some pics of an early SE twincam comp and M8 comp. TC on the left and M8 on the right. The spring pack is the same between the 2 bikes. It looks like the M8 comp might be able to fit a TC if spaced out some. Might have to clearance the cover. The SE come has about 20K on it and the M8 about 28K. Notice that the spokes and ramps are pretty worn on the TC and the spokes on the M8 look pretty good. HD widened the ramps on the cam. The M8 looks really good compared to the TC.

I’m interested as well.....should fit according to the pictures. Clearance could be a problem....maybe not.

Did you count the teeth? One looks bigger than the other.

In pic #2 I can see the inside diameter is wider, what does that mean?

Both are 34 teeth and use the same primary chain. In the first pic you can count the teeth.

Not sure what inside diameter?

Think that big forge groove is oil valley?...Need to do some close measurements with a Dial caliper. Use a three pins about the diameter that fit the spockets for measurements. Since you are just measuring a comparison, should be simple enough. That spline should have no shake. If it does, it will loosen the lock bolt/nut.

I don’t mean to be questionable, but why would you want to do that, rather than something like a Baker?

It's an oil valley. The TC comp shown is a previous rev from the current comp used. The current comp used on TCs has a similar oil groove. Not sure what you need to measure other than sprocket alignment.. Not sure what you are measuring with 2 pins? Splines? The sprockets run the same chain. Splines on the cranks are the same. Both comps use the same nut / sleeve (sprocket retainer) and the same spring pack.

2016 comp

you're on here enough that you should have read that the Bakers are having issues of their own, with iffy customer service regarding the issues
