Default clutch adjustment/problems getting into nuetral

hey all, i'm having a problem getting into nuetral while bike is running. i've tried following the service manual for clutch adj. , and it shifts fine otherwise than the nuetral issue. there is a little drag when my clutch is dis-engaged(sitting at stop) but maybe more than normal. i am using syn-3 from h-d instead of orig. clutch oil. could that be the prob or am i just not adjusted correctly?

I would try adjusting it again, it should not be pulling from a stop.....

I would loosen everything up on the clutch and readjust the clutch. Propley need to back the adjustment nut on the clutch off a liitle and then adjust the cable.

Re adjust the clutch and back the adjuster off about 3/4 of a turn after seating it. You shouldn't have drag if it is adjusted right. Try squeezing the clutch handle a few times to seat the ballsin the ramp before you turn it out 3/4 of a turn.

you might need to adjust your primary chain also (pre 2007), The proper adjustment does help.
