Changing Rear Pulley On 07 Bagger Question
My stock pulley is 1” wide and has 66 Teeth. I want to change my rear pulley to 68 Teeth so I need a Sportster pulley. I’m getting different info as to what year of Sportster is required. Some say any Sportster, some say 07 and up. If you’ve done the swap can you let me know which MY Sportster works?
Thanks, Jim

You'll probably get a bigger response in the Touring section, where this has been discussed often over the years. IIRC by also changing the front pulley from 32T to 30T, along with using the 68T rear, you can continue to use your stock belt. I have changed overall gearing on my older Glide and found I had to change belt length when changing one pulley by two teeth.

Initially I added IDS with a 66T pulley. Essentially the same as the 2008 touring bikes. Then I got the 68T Japanese Sportster pulley. All the IDS parts fit. Need to have the proper wheel bearing.
