Default primary noise (higher RPM), etc.

Hearing noise from primary, sounds like it's coming from the front area. More noticeable as RPM increases, especially from 2nd gear on. Sounds metallic, like a loose chain. Primary chain tension is fine, so is rear belt. Haven't yet checked compensator nut or clutch basket, but maybe I'm overlooking something else?

I recently had serviced at HD for the same noise (which had worsened over time)- they replaced pri. & sec. cam chain tensioner(I didn't know there were two tensioners - can someone explain?). Cam bearing kit was also installed - what exactly is that? Also, I had checked the clutch basket before having it serviced and it was "wobbly" - as I turned it, it seemed to be warped, as it turned like a bent bicycle wheel.

I hate taking it to the shop - your help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Could be the primary drive compensator nut backing off.....mine rattled like hell.....got a vibration from it when I held the throttle steady just off of idol.

Would you happen to have the correct torque amount for the comp. nut?
