Belt drive HP limit

Was just curious as to the limits before components start to overstress. I'm pushing about 110 hp with my deal and was thinking of building a 140-150 hp deal down the road. I'm sure the stock 6 speed has its limits as well. Just trying to see what other upgrades might be required with that much horsepower. Thanks, Mike

Some of the chaps in the Tech Engine section would be able to expand on this, thinking in particular of Scott from Hillside. They routinely build high output engines for customers and have many years experience of doing so - and can build you that big motor! Call over there and see what is going on.

You're moving in the right circles! I make do with approaching 110/110 at present, using a 1 1/8" belt on my old Glide. The current factory trikes use that size of belt, which gives a possible upgrade for a tuned later spec solo bike, to stay with a belt. The front pulley is common across the range and years, only a trike rear pulley would be necessary.
