Default Changing rotor/disk on 03 FXDWG, need advice on belt tension

I just noticed during my 7500 mile service, the rear brake pads are gone and the disk has minor grooving. Now if this was a car, I would probably say "F" it and throw some pads on, but I went ahead and bought a new disk.

I was wondering if you guy's can give this first timera heads-upon anythingI might run into. I read the service manual on setting belt tension by simulation the weight of the rider and measuring belt deflection. I'm willing to bet the dealer does it differently. Anyone know what they do instead? I'm sure after you do it day in and day out, ya get the feel for it.

Any other toolsI might need?

I order one of the belt tension gauges to apply the 10 foot lbs. Is it needed?

Any other tools, parts, etc... I might need???
