Help needed please with clutch choice
#11
Thanks Max. Really appreciate it.
For a guy like me who doesn't really understand clutches all that well...
1. Where would I get lighter springs?
2. Which kind of ramp is less steep that fits the 1988 clutch basket?
3. And what are the best friction plates and how many do I need?
Thanks for your help and apologies for the novice questions. 😃

1. I only know the TC softail.. The 05 up 88 ci clutch spring and ramps is all you need. There is a kit.. It uses 18 degree ramps and aprox a 280 lb spring.. Stock was 21 deg / 300-320

2, I don't know. You could try the burly arm or the amp system.
3.I would use a stock plate count Barnett Kevlar for the twincam. Don't know on the 88 unfortunately.
I'd post the question over in the EVO section, for it.
