Well the Street Glide was making some noise, mostly when taking off but idling to, so I pulled the primary off and this is what the chain tensioner looked like. Changed it and magically no noise anymore.

You put a stocker back in? change primary bearing?

 

Guess I'm gonna find the same thing. My 2011 FLHR with 29K is making a racket at startup and am planning on pulling the cover. Thinking about going with a Hayden unit. Thx for the pics...

 

I put the stock harley back in, I didn't think changing the primary bearing would be necessary. Should've done that?

 

Went and grabbed a OEM unit this morning and installed it, rode around the block and seems to have done the trick I'll take it out for a run tomorrow and make sure all is ok. My shoe didn't show hardly any wear btw. The slap in the face was $36 for the cover gasket.....
