Default Clutch not engaging fully and throttle sticking.

So i just bought a brand new XG750 as my first bike. I picked up the bike after the dealership closed and was headed home. Noticed that when i started the bike in gear with the clutch fully engaged it jumped just an inch or two. Then all seemed fine while riding until i got onto the freeway and was in about 4th gear and i wasnt getting any power from the throttle. Then out of nowhere all of a sudden regained power and the bike kept doing that for about 15 mins. Once i got off the freeway in in first coming up to a light clutch fully engaged and the bike stalls. I tested the theory out that the clutch might be the issue by engaging the clutch fully and giving a tiny bit of throttle and the bike moves about the speed as if i was to just release the clutch slowly until i was up to riding speed. Any suggestions before i take time off work to go to the dealership? Is this just a problem with new bikes and once the clutch and throttle are worn in will go away? Any advice to a new rider will be great thanks.

Should be under warranty take it in. I would not mess with it because you may void your warranty

Sounds like you have 2 clutch issues slipping and dragging, which doesn't make a lot of sense. Does it shift okay? Can you find neutral easy?

Maybe the bike has been sitting for awhile and the plates are sticking together.

For future reference here is some clutch terminology.

Engaged clutch : clutch lever out, clutch plates engaged with each other.
Disengaged clutch : Clutch lever pulled in , clutch plates are separated or disengaged.

I'm with Lunchboxx, new bike, under warranty, let the dealer fix it.

This is a conversation you should be having with the dealer's service department.
