Default Primary over fill

Just changed the primary fluid on my Heritage, the book shows 26oz, but, when i pulled the plug and drained the case, it measured 30oz. What can being overfilled/underfilled do to the clutch? By the way, i put the correct 26oz in it this time. Stealer did it the first/last time.

If the level is too high, not much damage can happen other than hard shifting and problems finding neutral. Follow the recommended level and always check things out after a dealer services the bike.

The service books have been known to be wrong. To put the level where the show it in the pictures it takes 32oz.I always put a full qt in the primary and a little more than a qt on baggers.
