Sounds like he has a guardian angel keeping watch since it was not worse. Its great that you went to see him since its been 13yrs - that should help do wonders for his recovery.

Prayers have helped. He was released from the hospital and sent to phy rehab. They shortened his stay from 8 weeks to 9 days. He went home Wednesday and is doing quite well considering.
