I'm not sure what to do ....
Please say a prayer for my x-wife Susie. She's been fighting cancer for quite awhile now. Based on her last scan, the doctors have told her she has just a few months to live.
She wants me to tell our daughter Kylie (she's only 11 years old ) .... this is going to be very hard for our daughter and me. Please include us in your prayers too. Thanks ! Dean |
you, your daughter and her mother are in my thoughts and my prayers.
I hope all works out as well as it can. |
Dying is tough on the living as well, My Thoughts are with your family.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my son in January so I really do feel your pain.
I'm no psychiatrist, but I would think that the three of you should be together when you tell your daughter. You can all support each other. If you tell her by yourself, she might not even believe you and/or get angry at you, out of denial. Has the doctor or hospital offered any counceling services? |

Dean A prayer for strength and understanding for your daughter would be in line as well. I guess this is the hardest part of living. "to live is to sleep, to die is to awaken" (ya, it's from a movie) God Bless you and your's. Tom |
Prayers to you all by brother.

Prayers going out for you, your ex, and your daughter for guidance and comfort during this difficult time.

Dean,
Thanks for sharing. My first thought is, does Susie know the Lord personally? If so...remember our hope, see 1 Thess. 4-13-14. If not, or your not sure, direct yourselves to the book of John ch.3. "For God so loved..." insert your name there, Susie's name there or whoever. Remembering Jesus said he came into the world not to condemn the world, but that through Him the world might be saved. Read to her John 14:1-4, that's our Lord's love for us, and along with that is a promise. Thats the E-Ticket. "Set your mind on things above, not on the things of the world". May God bring help (Psalm17:6-8), healing, comfort, wisdom, understanding to you, Susie, Kylie and the entire families of the loved ones. Let that precious daughter of yours (and anyone one else) see the man of God her dad is. God bless you brother, Your friend in Christ, Mike |
It is hard to know, or be sure of, what to do in situations as such. We all know we are all going to move on one day but when it comes we are all at a loss when it happens.
Not much comfort or explanations from the lips of man I've found. Found a bit in the Book...mainly looking for answer. See I DID loose my X-wife Suzan just 43 days ago(6 weeks and 2 days). Not to any illnes just some stupid accident. She would have been 52 this coming May 10th and we was to remarry the next month...June 6th. All I can say is that if I would have known what was about to happen I would have spent every waking, breathing moment with her. Most definitely my prayers to all. |
Thanks to all of you for the kind words and prayers. We are going to talk to my daughter this weekend.
My thoughts and prayers are with you too Raf. I was sorry to hear about your loss. |
