The following is from an email sent to IAFFMG members...
(International Association of Fire Fighters Motorcycle Group)
"A dump truck crashed into a group of eight motorcycles stopped at a red light in Phoenix, killing three riders, injuring six other and scattering flaming wreckage across the intersection.
Update: According to IAFF-MG sources in Phoenix, the three motorcycle riders killed in this crash were not IAFF/IAFF-MG members. They were members of a local motorcycle group called the Phoenix MC Kruzers and were out riding as a small group in one of their planned meetups... IAFF member Capt.Ernie Lizarraga was a member of the group. Brother Lizarraga is still listed in critical condition.
A fourth victim involved in Thursday's motorcycle crash in North Phoenix has passed away. Dayle Veronica Downs-Totonchi, 47, died at the hospital Friday evening from extensive injuries suffered in the multi-vehicle crash. IAFF Member/ Fire Captain Ernie Lizarraga remains in critical condition.
Additional information will be provided as it becomes available... Our thoughts and prayers remain with our fellow riders and their families."
Thank you in advance.
