I just got the screamin eagle slip-ons, and the buckshot heat shields. Got the whole set up for 150 so it will work for now till i can upgrade to a full system. I was wondering if i could cut my old heat shields to fit inside the buckshots. What I'm thinking is get them powder coated with a high temp green to match all the other accents on my bike. I am getting the motor done soon so i would just do these at the same time. Motor is going to be all wrinkle black except the pushrod tube and cylinder heads, they will be green.

 

they do not make a high temp green powder, for your shields as long as your bike is properly tuned you should be fine with normal powder on the heat shields

The bike has the stock tune, only thing thats been changed is the SE slip-ons. I don't know much about tuning or any of that so i don't know if that means the shields will get to hot or not. Any help is appreciated.
