Definitely recommend powder coating. You can use paint and keep repainting when it chips, cracks, or fades, but you will find that powder coating will last much longer compared to painting. Powder coating is more resistant to chipping and cracking than paint.

It also doesn't have all the harsh chemicals that paint does so it's better for the environment. We wrote a post about powder coating rims vs. painting if you'd like to read more about it. Hope that helps!
