hello all....i finally got my wife to say ok to going on a ride with me.....after 19 years of marriage she is willing to get on the back of my scoot.....so now after all these years riding solo i have to buy a 2-up seat for my 1994 flstn.....my issue is this, when i put the seat on will it ruin my paint? ill only be putting on the passenger pad every now and then. i dont want to mess the paint up.....any ideas?

 

I bought my FLHR new in 2010. Rode 300 miles the first day came home took the 2-up seat off to mount a solo seat. The paint was already marked on the rear fender! Couldn't rub it out with compound. A fender bib is the only answer.

 

3M film is what I use in all those areas prone to paint damage.

 

3m tape was used on my bikes no scratches plus it just peels up no glue left behind
