Default Powdercoat / paint the lip of a wheel?

Has anyone ever powdercoated or painted the lip of their wheel black? Did it match the black from HD? If so,, would you please post a picture? Thanks

Those wheels look great!!! And, you're not too far from me.. A couple of questions- The wheels are off of a 2013 Street Glide... I think the black is powdercoating.. Do you have to strip the entire wheel,, or do you just powdercoat the lip.... If you only do the lip, will there be a visible seam (where the existing powdercoating is). Or, do you paint on the lip?

Those wheels all look as if they have been stripped and repainted from scratch. Much easier to pick up the phone and talk to Joe!

That is correct. Only way to pull it off is to completely strip the wheel and start from scratch. This way the surface can be cleaned and properly prepped for a clean coating job that will look great for years and years
