Default New to powdercoating...

So, I'm getting ready to try my hand at powdercoating for the first time! Mainly some brackets and stuff, but one thing I want is black mirrors (i.e. Nightster/48 style). I have the same shape mirrors that are chrome, and I was wondering if I could powdercoat them black or would the heat from the curing damage the mirrors? Any input you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Nick

I read on another forum about a PC'er removing the mirrors before coating and curing. I asked what he used to re-secure them, but have yet to receive a response. I believe you can heat up the mirrors with heat gun/hair dryer and mirror portion should be able to be removed.

I did mine, you do have to remove the glass first though, like stated, a heat gun should do the trick. I just used silcone on mine and it's holding up just fine so far. Been a couple months.
