Default finally PC'd my bike.

I bought a powder coating set up a couple of years ago. After working all the bugs out of my system and building an oven here is the results of my bike so far. I still have to shoot the muffler and a few small pieces but for the most part it's done.

Here's the list of what I coated

Gloss black: bars, levers, all the trim rings for the lights, kick stand, all engine covers, push rod "clips", lip and hub on the front wheel, mirror

Grey with gloss clear: Derby cover, timer cover, horn cover, shift linkage, switchhousings, master cylinder, clutch perch, front end lowers and cowbells, all light buckets and turn signals, tank counsel and fuel lid.

I'm sure i'm missing some stuff but here's a few pics. I'll have to get more of it out in the light.

The master cyliner was pretty easy actually. You can get a rebuild kit at your local dealer, then you pull the plunger out of your master. You can strip the site glass and the rubber from the cap as well as the DOT sticker. I put all parts in my blast cabinet to strip off the factory paint. Then what I did was tape off the top of the master, then I screwed the lip onto the master to keep powder from getting inside it (using the tape as a gasket. I plugged the rest of the holes with silicone plugs and shot and cured as normal. Intsall the re-build kit and you're good to go. Bery easy and really sets off the bars. I'll get a close up of it and post it if ya want.

I must say after seeing this bike in person, It looks amazing! Hopefully I was a little inspiration for the black??? The silver is something I have never seen before and really sets the bike off!

It's been in the works for a long time, but I must admit, after tuning your bike and seeing it all black out and looking bitchin', you sped me up a bit. My original plan was to do it this winter during the "off" season. How's the bike running, by the way?
