Default Painting Polished Covers on "Natural" engine

Did a search for "how to" and "feedback" on anyone who has painted their polished aluminum covers on the Standard engine.

It's surprising how little info there is on this. Topic usually goes off course, polishing, powdercoating, refinishing, clearcoating etc., everything except a response to the original question

I want to strip off the clear coat, sand, etch, then paint with Duplicolor "Cast Aluminum" engine paint. I do not want ANY polished aluminum on my engine.

So...has anyone out there done this?

Jim
