Bumping up an old thread due to taking the last couple days to plasti dip my bike. There are some new plasti dip metallic colors now on dipyourcar. com. Anthracite is what I woulda done my bike had I seen it before this week. But, the cool thing is I can peel this off whenever I want and respray when Im up for it.

I did my Mirrors a couple weeks ago mostly to see if I liked the flat black look. I was very impressed with the ease of use. You don't have to sand or rough up the part in any way. If you don't like the way it looks, just peel it right off. The instructions say to use very light coat for first coat and then a little heavier after. Plasti Dip leaves you the option of taking it back off and changing colors. There are several colors you can buy online.
