Yeah put it all back together been down for a month cause I was dying to ride…Didn't look too bad, but after putting 300 miles on it I noticed that the lower engine covers that were originally done the wrong finish, were supposed to be a matte texture finish and he had done them in gloss so after I pointed this out I came back 2 days later and they looked correct. But now the matte has turned to gloss and I can feel the pc is so soft I can dig my fingernail into it…He claimed to not be perfect and had his gun checked out blah blah blah, I know he was rushing to get it done and then he just recoated the parts. There are some pieces that came out good but I do think he tried to rush **** and he's playing dumb!

Never had to remove chrome if it was in good shape... Yes if your chrome was peeling or you had blistering or bubbling on the surface...
From what you described they seem to be incompetent or very sloppy... If it was me and all the time and labor involved putting these parts on id eat the initial cost and go to a more reputable shop if possible.
Its hard to judge with out seeing the shop... We have a few in my area one is the best I've ever used is in Greenland NH and I've used allot of shops over the years... This time of the year he is about 8 weeks out, In fact yesterday he is not even taking anything in until June... But this guy does some amazing things in powder and with him the whole part has to be quality no matter the size or intended use...
In contrast a shop close to my home who Manchester and Nashua HD recommend is cr@p... I give them a D-...The several times I've used them out of geographical convenience I have regretted it... Their quality is hit or miss no consistency... The last batch i took 3 of the larger parts had sag's on the inner surfaces and a out-gas bubble on a highly visible surface...
Not sure if I'm going to redo those being I'm looking at 6 with them or 8 weeks with other shop... If i was not on a tight budget with this rebuild id mail the parts to you Joe

Thanks on the compliment bro, I was gonna take it to him this Saturday to show him what's going on with it but we've got about 90% chance of rain…I just want to punch this guy in the face, not because he goofed up but for trying to blow smoke up my *** and his lack of communication with me in a timely fashion after he's already got my $$. If I could get him to give me back some of my $$ and just let me do it elsewhere I would hit you up. I mean it's gonna be down again, if it was a shop tearing it down it would cost me labor, and about $80 worth of synthetic fluids at least. The plater wanted $300 to unplate all my pieces and he wanted $600, I think giving me back $3-400 is fair…But life ain't fair so I'll just have to wait and see.

$300 to have parts reverse plated is robbery. $100 would have been more fair.
