Stripping olive denim rear fender?
Chopped my rear fender 2" and took it down for flat black powder (very close to black denim IMO) today only to have him turn me away for fear of warping the sheet metal while media blasting.
I figured I would try some sort of stripper on the paint followed by a little 220 before taking back down. Would like to hear opinions on the best approach and products to use. Also, I figured with the open fender sides now I would want some additional protection on the vivid black fender strut covers, so I am having them done as well. I am torn between also doing them flat black or gloss...leaning toward gloss for more contrast, but my side covers are wrinkle black and shocks are shiny black chopped down Road Kings. Opinions on color? Here is a shot of the area pre-intake.
Thanks!
