Default possible to match Black denim paint?

I looking to redo my rear fender on my SB and Ive looked around at options (Paint, powder coating...) Ive been told around $600 to weld up the holes from rear light and licence plate mount and to powder coat it to match. I talked with my local dealer and they told me that it cant be painted to match...now Im sure they want people to believe that but is it true?

My paint shop matched it. It took them a couple days trial and error, but they nailed it (no charge for matching it) and I bought their paint and sprayed it myself.

The fender on the left is stock and the one on the right I painted (I know pictures suk).

Front stock fender, rear I painted to match.

The Denim paints are a nightmare to match and shoot, one spec of dust and it has to be re-shot since it cant be polished out.

Also the Denim Black PPG formula 913102 has just a touch of white in the mix, its not just flat clear over Vivid Black

nice looking FB!

You can powder coat to match black denim as well. Here's some parts I coated, pretty much a dead match. Sorry for the crappy pics.

got my parts back today from powder coater. pics just dont do justice. color is almost spot on. its just a touch blacker but for 99% of us its that close. had the horn bracket done and the SE ventilator backing plate done. waiting on new gasket to put it back on. im going with carbon fiber insert in the console also, just waiting on stuff to get here. cf inserts for saddlebag latches also. ditching the reflectors.
