I need alittle help with my HD 1/4 fairing, my bikes an 06 in denim black, my fairing is beat down, (paint wise) and i need to paint it, does anyone know if the Krylon Fusion Flat black plastic paint is a good match to the OEM denim paint? Im trying to do it on the cheap! I'll use mat clear coat to protect the paint, but i think the clear will Glossy up the flat!!!!!

 

i like to use the rustoleum painters touch semi gloss black, and clear that with the flat clear, cheap and has a pretty dang good match! i shoot the clear while the base is still wet and not final cure... it is def a flat black that is super clean... but i think HD has a rattle can black denim that is like 20 bucks and you know is a spot on match

Thanks Joe, When you shoot the painters touch do you prime first?
The Krylon fusion says no primer is needed!!!! Ive used it a few times and had great success,
I try the painters touch on a sample piece to see how it turns out....

 

i always prime man... you get so much better adhesion when you do
