Default Bent Frame

Hi guys,

My wife layed down her 2005 Fat Boy Little bruised. Other then thin and bar damage, The only part of the frame damaged is at the very tip on the back top where the fender struts mounts to.

My question is has anyone try to straighten this area up by heating? Or is there another recommend way of doing it. I need to bring up about 1/2 in to be level with other side.

Any help appreciated

digging more into the bike Found the wheel was pushed back about an inch on the right side. It was not touching the adjusting bolt. I tried to adjust back measuring from the center of the swing arm bolt to the center of the axle pin. When I get the proper belt tension and and measurement. I noticed the adjusting bolt on the right side is further back than the left and the sprocket is very close to the frame. If there a way I can measure the frome and find out if it is bent?

Thanks

Trying to upload pictures so you can see where I am at When I try to adjust belt tension to be even measuring from center of swing arm bolts. I noticed the adjuster screw is further back on the right as it is on the left and noth much clearance from sprocket to frame. Its not touching but pretty close.

Any help appreciated

No snap on belt, I tried to reset belt tension with adjuster nut and notice the right side was alot further back from the left. I measured from swing arm nut to axle on both sides and when I get that set. I see the sprocket is pretty close to the frame.

I may have to call insurance and see what they would do.

Don't try adjusting anything without a service manual.

That's what insurance is for. Get it fixed right, you have more than cosmetic damage. In the end you have to feel comfortable having your wife back on it.

Hope she's OK

Definitely one for insurance - she's bent pretty good & would probably need computer/laser alignment to make it true & get back to factory spec. Hope the wife's OK...
