I am thinking about adding speakers to my lower fairings. The lower fairings will be repainted to match the rest of the bike. I like my lowers, I just don't like the unfinished look of the back of the fairings. Can the the backs of the lower fairings be painted? They are vented lowers.

Sure they can be painted ... anything can be painted with the right product and "prep work" .... however you might want to consider something other than a "gloss" finish for the inside of the lowers .... with your feet constantly "bouncing" around in there the finish wil get beat up rather quickly. I saw a set done in "Linex" ( the guys who do the spray in bed liners ) and it looked real nice. Also, the stuff is bullett proof. Just my.02 cents worth.

 

I guess there might be one advantage to having small feel. My feet are not close to the lowers. lol

 

Arent the lowers the same material as the inner fairing?
